EDH Grapplers! 

The summer is more than half way over! How are your with your goals for the summer and the year of 2013? If you would like to schedule some time with our staff to talk about your goals and organize a "plan of attack" we would love to make it happen! Here are some exciting events to mark on your calendar for the next month! 

Seminar this Saturday
Innovative Martial Arts in Rocklin, CA will be hosting a Jiu Jitsu seminar with the legendary Garth Taylor. Garth is a black belt under Claudio Franca and one of the first few American's to have medaled at the World Championships when they were still held in Brazil. Fundraiser Wrestling Camp Next Week
Greco Roman Wrestler, Quincy Clark, a 2000 Olympian will be hosting a fundraiser camp at our dojo on July 25 & 26. This will be a fundraiser for A Rocklin HS female wrestler to help fund her trip to go to the Olympic Training Center. More information coming soon! 

FEMALE BLACK BELT Class for Ladies Only
All Ladies will have the opportunity to work with a Female Black belt on August 20th. There will be a SPECIAL 90 minute class on this day for all the Ladies. Mark your calendar and invite your friends and family to this very unique and special class! There will be a 60 minute Gi class following the ladies only class for both males and females! 

Sunsplash Fun
EDH BJJ and West Coast Martial Arts will be selling tickets until this Friday July 19 for tickets to Sunsplash on July 31! These tickets are $30 each and includes admission, BBQ, Drinks, and Shaded Area. This would be a great outing for the family and members of EDH BJJ to have fun off the mat! 

Ladies Only Jiu Jitsu 
Ladies only Jiu Jitsu is growing to twice a week! We will be having class on Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00-7:00pm. Sign ups during the months of July and August will be discounted. If you've been thinking about jiu jitsu this will be a great time to start!

Hi everyone,
I just wanted to let you know that one of our EDHBJJ coaches, Coach Jerel, had a heart attack on Friday evening. If you are not familiar with our staff, Coach Jerel, his wife Aiza, and their children Angelo, Ethan, and Ryan are on the mat every day. Coach Jerel frequently teaches our children's class, and the Tengan boys are regular competitors in our in-house tournaments. 

Jerel is recovering and is set to come home on Tuesday. We wanted to offer an opportunity to extend some support from our EDHBJJ family by providing daily dinners for the Tengan family for the next two weeks. If you are able to do this, I know it would be greatly appreciated, as it will allow their family to focus on Jerel's recovery and healing, rather than meal preparation. To sign up for a dinner, please follow the link below and sign up...it's easy! The family is implementing a new, heart healthy diet so we're asking that meals be low in fat and sodium. And if you don't want to heat up your kitchen, feel free to bring them something you think they might enjoy from a local restaurant or store that your family frequents....anything is appreciated!
