Dear Jiu Jitsu Team, 

Our first seminar of the year is around the corner. Michel Miyashita, Eliot's first jiujitsu coach from Japan who has been training with us while working on his English for several weeks, will be teaching some great stuff! Please register in advance.

- BELT PROMOTIONS -
Twice a year, EDH BJJ has a belt promotion ceremony to celebrate the hard work, dedication, and maturity of the students. Jiu-Jitsu by nature takes patience, persistence, and a group effort! We would like all students to attend this even to celebrate together!  If you would like more information on  the ceremony, please send us an email.

Dear Team, 

We hope you are off to a great start in 2015! Please let us know how we can help. Make sure to check the new schedule for gi and nogi on Thursday and Friday, 6am classes, and more! 

Pre-Teens Class on Friday:
Kids enrolled in the pre-teens class includes Friday from 6:00-7:00pm. Students will learn takedowns that apply both in the gi and nogi. Training attire is NoGi. 

UGF Competitors: 
Make sure to review your competition strategies with a coach before the tournament. Please remember, if you are signing up for a tournament you must be participating in competition classes. All team members are encouraged to go watch and support your teammates compete on January 31 in Sacramento!

Seminar with Michel! Michel will be helping us on the mat for about three more weeks! Please register early and learn more of his tricks! Please view attachment!

Belt Promotions take place twice a year in El Dorado Hills. They are a special event  to recognize the team and individual efforts to celebrate their hard work and persistence! Family and friends are very welcome to attend!

GINASTICA NATURAL SEMINAR on MOVEMENT & TRAINING

February 22:
Come watch the IBJJF SF OPEN! If you've been talking to that person about trying jiujitsu and they haven't.... Bring them to the tournament! It's guaranteed excitement! If you need some extra motivation.... This is one of the premier northern California Jiu Jitsu tournaments! 
March 7:
EDHBJJ IN HOUSE TOURNAMENT
All kids and adults are strongly encouraged to sign up. This will be a positive and rewarding tournament experience for all!

Dear Jiu Jitsu Team, 

Congratulations to Eliot on his win at the US Nationals Pro Trials. He won his division and earned an all expense trip to the Abu Dhabi Pro Championships in the UAE! A great accomplish for our team! 

Basic Jiu Jitsu Movement Workshop
Eliot will be leading a jiu jitsu workshop on Sunday, January 18th from 2:00-3:00pm in Rocklin, CA The movement and wellness event is the most comprehensive movement and wellness event of the year!

Schedule Update
Please check our calendar for an updated schedule. A few adjustments have been made to a few classes. Here is a quick overview of the adjustment.

- Monday/Wednesday class at 6AM. No Tuesday/Thursday class
- Alternating Gi and NoGi Friday
- Competition Drilling every Thursday night after Basics Class
- Juvenile class now includes a nogi takedown wrestling on Friday 6:00-7:00pm 

Seminar at EDH BJJ
Michel Miyashita, a first degree black belt will be teaching and training with us all month! Professor Michel will be teaching a seminar in the evening of Wednesday, February 4th
